Colonel George Washington and Mrs. Washington are receiving congratulations from their friends and neighbors on the occasion of his election as vestryman of Pohick Church of Truro Parish, Fairfax County, Virginia (October 25, 1762). The scene is at the door of the church, which is still standing.
