When A.E. Milliken etched this elegant building in 1931 it was one of the most luxurious and prominent hotels in the United States. At the beginning of the twenty-first century, it retains that claim. The adjective "historical" is now before its name, as it continues to garner positive reviews from the many people who go there. Milliken attended Cornell University and after graduating he worked as architect and etcher. He is known for issuing a series of etchings of Cornell. Milliken lived and worked in Kingston, NY.
