This beautiful landscape is from a publishing venture that was never finished by John Disturnell, who directed and contributed to a difficult project.  Marketing the art was a failure, but the few individual prints that survived preserved the image and history of the area around New York City in 1835.  An interesting group of artists and printmakers contributed to the project.  Here, the view is from the New Jersey shore looking up the Hudson River.  Sail boats and one steamer are on the river.
