Thure de Thulstrup (1848-1930) [Scene at the seaside]

Born in Sweden, Thulstrup came to Canada in 1872 and then the US in 1873, where he found his calling as an artist, primarily illustrating military scenes, though he was also known for his work in other genres.  This charming example of Victorians at the seaside is an excellent example of the latter.
