He was a prominent artist among those who participated in the growth stages of the new Philadelphia Museum of Art and the famous Print Club. He was an outstanding architect and was invested as a fellow in the American Institute of Architects in 1966.

White’s five primary lithographic works are: Colonial Mansions of Fairmount Park; a series of views of Williamsburg, VA; Richmond, Twelve Lithographs of the City on the James; Seven Lithographs of Old Churches in Virginia; views of Appalachia and the American Southwest.
