A decorative diploma issued to Winslow Lyon for the degree of Civil Engineer. Originally founded in 1821 as the Bullock School, the College changed names and locations several times until it moved to Chester where it became known as to Pennsylvania Military College. In 1972, due to the unpopularity of the Vietnam War the school ceased the military program and changed its name to Widener in honor of Eleanor Elkins Widener. At the bottom, is a view of the Main Building which still stands.
