Samuel McMullin was a Philadelphia commercial photographer who took photographs of local landscapes and interiors. He mostly issued stereographic cards. Not much is known about this Philadelphia photographer but he seems to have been a very prolific commercial photographer as his stereographic cards can be found in several public collections. His address in 1874 corresponds to one as shown in bottom margin. This large photograph was most likely issued by McMullin to sell to the general public as a souvenir for the Centennial celebration of 1876.
