A fine lithographic rendering of Mauzaisse’s portrait of Thomas Jefferson, a beloved figure in France, in the year of Jefferson’s  death.

J.B. Mauzaisse (1784-1844) was a French artist of historical scenes and figures in multiple media.  He was also commissioned to paint several ceilings in the Louvre during its expansion under Napoleon III.
