Abraham Munting (1626-1683) was a Dutch botanist and botanical artist. He was a professor of botany at the University of Groningen and directed one of the most important botanical gardens of the period.  This botanical publication enjoyed particular success as the plants are featured with charming landscape or architectural backgrounds.
