Charles Balthazar Julien Févret de Saint-Mémin (1770-1852). [Jonathan Burrall (1753-1834)]. 

Mezzotint restrike late nineteenth or early twentieth century.  2 ¾ x 2  ½ (plate mark).  Mezzontint on heavy wove paper.  Minor water stain left hand margin not affecting image. Paper is cracked along the right plate mark.  Ref: Miles, Saint Memin and the Neoclassical Profile Portrait in America, #114. 

A native of New York State, Burrall was assistant paymaster general during the Revolution. Afterward he served as assistant postmaster general, cashier of the United States Branch Bank of New York, and manager of the state lotteries.
