An exquisite Dutch Bible map after Nicolaes Visscher map of 1645. This map depicts the region between the Mediterranean and the Persian Gulf, depicting numerous Biblical sites, including the wanderings of the Children of Israel and the Garden of Eden. The four corners of the map contain vignettes from Genesis; the creation of Adam and Eve, Paradise, Eve offering Adam the apple, and the expulsion from the Garden of Eden. At bottom center is a large scene of Noah's Ark.
