



British Genre Scenes by W. Dendy Sadler

Delightful examples of the work of Walter Dendy Sadler (1854-1923) who produced over one hundred and seventy prints in his lifetime. A number of these show happy people enjoying the pleasures of drink, food and leisure activities. These prints are famous for depicting authentic costumes, as well as furniture, stemware and other decorative arts.

Very faint mat burn in margins, some skinning of paper surface in bottom margin and minor chip in edge of paper at left; all not affecting image. Signed in pencil by the artist and the etcher. Otherwise, very good condition. With remarque in bottom margin with woman (bride to be?) powdering her face. $450
