A strong mezzotint by John Sartain of a bust portrait of Lincoln. John Sartain has been called the 'father of mezzotint engraving' in the U.S., and this print is an excellent example of his work. Sartain based his print on an 1864 photograph by Brady, and the quality of his work enhances this classic image.
