A fine chromolithograph of the fresco, painted by Raphael in 1510-11, representing the ‘Poets on Mount Parnassus’ in the Stanza della Segnatura in the Vatican.  In the 1860s, the Arundel Society (1848-1897) hired Mariannecci, known mostly as a copyist, to draw the eight scenes of the frescos of the Stanza della Segnatura and the Stanza di Eliodoro.  The Society was founded to promote the art of the Old Masters by issuing very fine chromolithographic reproductions.
